Collection: Loretta Sarah Todd

Loretta Sarah Todd is a Cree/Métis filmmaker, writer, entrepreneur, and visionary leader in Indigenous media, from St. Paul des Métis, White Fish Lake First Nation, and Red River Métis. She is the founder and Creative Director of the IM4 Media Lab, an Indigenous XR lab that launched the first Indigenous virtual production training program.

Todd has directed more than 100 projects across film, television, games, animation, apps, and digital media. Her acclaimed work includes Monkey Beach, which premiered at TIFF, screened at more than 40 festivals, and won over 20 awards, as well as children's and youth series including Nehiyawetan, Coyote Science, Fierce Girls, and Skye and Chang.

A leader in Indigenous screen innovation, Todd was an inaugural fellow with the Indigenous Screen Office and MIT Co-Creation Lab. She has spoken at major international forums, including MOMA, the United Nations, and VIFF Immersed, and has received numerous honours, including a Rockefeller Fellowship, the Sundance Scriptwriters Lab, Vancouver's Mayor's Award for Media Arts, and the Women in Film and Video Innovator Award.
