Hunting as a way of life for native people is threatened by large-scale resource development. The film reveals the Native world through details of daily life in a summer hunting camp. In the second half of the film, Treaty 8 bands gather for the first time in 15 years to face common issues concerning their future.

"The genius of Treaty 8 Country is the genius of any great documentary: the ability to tell the story on its own terms."
