The history of Vancouver's Cambie (Connaught) Bridge is revealed through the explorations and memories of a young man. Fascinated with the old structure, he observes the operation of the swingspan mechanism, talks to the bridge tender, and examines the transformations undergone by the False Creek area during the bridge's tenure (1912-1984). The closing ceremonies for the old bridge, and the opening of the new, are also shown. Striking images of the bridge (shot before and during its demolition) are augmented with archival footage to create a beautiful documentary with an elegant and genuine sense of place.

Also available as a 16mm print with advanced notice.
