A Round Peg celebrates Canadian feminist and educator Margaret Fulton's lifetime achievements. The youngest of seven children, Fulton learned to value hard work, self-reliance, neighbourliness, and education while growing up on the family farm in Manitoba. Beginning as a one-room school teacher, she later embarked on a post-secondary education as a mature student. Now an internationally recognized educator, she has served as President of Mount Saint Vincent University in Nova Scotia, the University of British Columbia's Dean of Women, and the advisor for the creation of a feminist university in Norway.

This is an inspiring portrait of an energetic teacher, activist, feminist, and advocate for senior citizens. She has challenged traditional patriarchal power structures and designed alternative non-hierarchical administrative patterns which are now being embraced both in government and business. Her vision for a new society is dedicated to women's equality, global peace, environmental protection, and empowerment of the individual. A role model, particularly for women, Fulton's innovative ideas, stories, and anecdotes are refreshing, stimulating, and frequently funny.

Special DVD features include:

• Seeing Beyond Hierarchy¨• 4 minutes

An animated short which interprets Dr. Fulton's alternative governance model of self-organizing circles interactively connected through shared power and shared values.
