Pamela Gallant


Pamela Gallant is an Acadian filmmaker born in PEI. Her independent shorts have won awards in film festivals across Canada, notably the Atlantic Film Festival for her half-hour drama La voisine and her short fiction Au Rythme du courant.  She studied filmmaking at York University and with Venaco Productions in Paris, France and has created short films with the Island Media Arts Network PEI.

Pamela's feature screenplay Monica's News was first runner-up for the 2018 Women in the Director's Chair: WIDC Feature Film award which earned her a director participant spot at the WIDC Story and Leadership program 2018-19.


independent media artist who has worked with the PEI Filmmakers Co-Op and the NB Filmmakers' Co-Op. She is currently based in Halifax where she continues work as a film editor and exploring new possibilities for her own work.
