Siobhan McCarthy


Ms. McCarthy is the CEO/ Founder and Executive Producer of blyssful PRODUCTIONS. She brings over 15 years of experience working in the theatre, film and television industry as an award winning producer, director, writer, content creator and performer.

McCarthy is a bold, innovative, transdisciplinary artist and educator who is constantly devising new original theatre, film, television and performance art. She enjoys teaching, conducting experiments/ research whilst working independently and collaboratively with other artists.

McCarthy has been profiled and published in the Canadian Theatre Review where she was credited as being one of "Canada's foremost cross-over artists". The University of York has documented her and archived her body of work as she has been identified as a "trailblazer" in Performance Creation across Canada.

Most recently McCarthy's company blyssful PRODUCTIONS received development funding from BC Film + media for her transmedia interactive comedy series, DADS.

In 2012, McCarthy also commissioned and Executive Produced 5 short films for WAM as well as producing the WAM Festival- BC's First Disability Media Festival. She also produced "Funny Business"- one of the 2011 Crazy 8's winners.

McCarthy moonlights as an educator, actor, writer and director for hire as well as creating digital strategies and acting as a social media community manager for various broadcast properties which include; W Network's The Cupcake Girls- Seasons 2&3, HGTV's Urban Suburban- Seasons 1&2, OWN's Murder She Solved True Crime- Seasons 2&3 and Food Network's Family Cook Off.
