Artist's Statement
I am interested in film that questions how meaning is made and its ability to foreground the presence of voice in its creation. I seek to develop a distinct cinematic voice that challenges current paradigms of representation and viewer expectation. I strive to push past conventional cinematic codes, converging experimental and dramatic film practices where film wears its materiality on its surface without neglecting story. Unable to ascribe a singular meaning in the fragments of stories presented, the viewer becomes an active participant in interpreting meaning and is given the agency to draw their own conclusions.
