Linda Ohama


"When I heard that this would be my family's last harvest, I knew I had to tell out story," says Linda Ohama. Her award-winning film chronicles her family's history with simplicity and dignity. Truly a labour of love, this is her first film.

Since the early 1970's, third generation (sansei) Japanese-Canadian artist Linda Ohama has worked extensively as a visual artist, exhibiting her work in Vancouver, Toronto, and Surrey.
Since this film, she has written, directed and produced a second film about country life in her home community of Rainier, Alberta, Neighbours, Wild Horses & Cowboys.

Linda is currently working with the National Film Board to produce a film about her grandmother who is now over 100 years old.
