Ken Malenstyn

Since 1992, Ken Malenstyn, through his company Big Red Barn Entertainment, has produced numerous projects. His focus is on documentary, children's and dramatic television.

Recent productions include X-Quest a global adventure series, critically acclaimed documentary TEAM SPIRIT: The Jordin and Terence Tootoo Story, Bikes On Ice, The Walk & The Hunt, the documentary series Chiefs & Champions and Ravens & Eagles: Haida Art (co-producer), and the sketch comedy series Suckerpunch. The documentary My Father, My Teacher (APTN, NFB, KNOW) is currently in production, and the animated children's series Tin Men is in development.

Big Red Barn Entertainment productions have screened at the Yorkton Film Festival, Whistler Film Festival, American Indian Film Festival in San Francisco. Team Spirit was nominated for Best Documentary at AIFF. At the Yorkton Film Festival, Bikes on Ice was nominated in five categories including Best Documentary.

Ken lives outside of Vancouver with his wife and two boys.
