Liz Jarvis


Liz Jarvis joined Buffalo Gal Pictures in 1995. As producer, production executive and assistant director, she has been instrumental in building alliances with national and international producers to create a wide range of award-winning feature films, documentaries, and short dramas.

Liz recently produced The Stone Angel with writer-director Kari Skogland (World Premiere, Toronto International Film Festival 2007). This feature film adaptation of the beloved novel by Margaret Laurence stars Ellen Burstyn, Christine Horne, Ellen Page, Sheila McCarthy with Kevin Zegers and Dylan Baker. Liz developed and produced the feature film, Seven Times Lucky, with writer/director Gary Yates in 2004. The film, starring Kevin Pollak and Liane Balaban, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Shanghai International Film Festival and won the Citytv Award at the Vancouver International Film Festival.

Liz is actively involved in Manitoba's motion picture community as a mentor for upcoming filmmakers and she is a past member of the Board of Directors of On Screen Manitoba (formerly the Manitoba Motion Pictures Industry Association). Liz teaches Film Production at the University of Winnipeg.
