In September 2011 Maple Batalia, a 19-year-old Health Sciences student at Simon Fraser University's Surrey campus, was brutally stabbed and shot near the campus library by a jealous ex-boyfriend. Family and friends pay tribute to the life of a beautiful, multi-talented young woman--an actor, model and shining example of someone with a promising future. In revealing  the devastating impact this brutal act has had on them and the community, they show a determination to move forward as they establish scholarship funds for students pursuing Maple's interests: Health Sciences and Art. #weareallmaple
