Sitji Chou was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. At the age of 5, he decided he wanted to work as an animator for Disney, inspired by his childhood fascination with a certain red-headed mermaid. Though he flirted with the idea of becoming a graphic designer, after taking an introductory class for animation in his first year at Emily Carr University, he came full circle and fell back in love. Coupling his love for illustration with the narrative possibilities of animation, he aims to create beautifully constructed, thematically interesting films that don't serve simply to entertain, but to provoke thought. After completing a bachelors degree in media arts in the spring of 2011, he is excited to fully embrace a career as being an animation auteur; becoming a Disney animator will have to come later.
