A native of Regina, Saskatchewan, Shelley Reeves has lived in Montreal
for over 30 years. She studied at Concordia University in Montreal
and the College of Art in Calgary. She is now a professor of drawing
and painting at Concordia University and Dawson College.
Shelley prepares for a big opening in Edmonton on the heels of
a very successful show in Montreal. She paints in her studio and
candidly describes her current work—several impressive and
ample portraits. Her work delves into the human psyche with a sense
of poetic resonance, exploring the division between mind and body.
